Opioid Use & Withdrawl
Cannabis to Help Opioid Users. The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) is holding a hearing on August 14, 2019 from 1:30 to 2:30PM to add Opioid Use Disorder and Withdrawal as a qualifying medical condition for Hawaii medical marijuana patients. The hearing will be open to the public so if you want to have your voice heard you can attend the hearing and give testimony at Kalanimoku Building, 1151 Punchbowl Street. We feel that this is a good step for the DOH to take and it's exactly what is needed after Governor Ice vetoed a bill this summer that would have added opioid use and withdrawal to the list of qualifying medical conditions.
